Physicians

Eric B. Olsen, MD – Medical Director and Co-Owner
Dr. Olsen graduated in 1990 from the University of Colorado School of Medicine in Denver, Colorado and completed his residency from George Washington & Georgetown University Medical Centers in Washington, D.C. His specialty area of interest includes Aesthetic & Cosmetic Skin Care, Complex Wound Care, Hyperbaric Medicine, Telemedicine, Emergency Medicine, as well as Health & Drug education for Teens. He has been a member of the Poudre Valley Hospital ( Ft. Collins, CO) staff since 1995, the North Colorado Medical Center (Greeley, CO) since 2000 and the Medical Center of the Rockies ( Loveland, CO) since it opened in 2007. He is licensed to practice medicine in both Colorado and in Wyoming.

Dr. Olsen’s progression to Aesthetic & Cosmetic Medicine grew out of his success in Complex Wound Care. He is frequently overheard telling clients that “Aesthetic Medicine is the most creative and enjoyable work that I do!” He is well educated in the use of injectables such as Botox, and the various Collagen-based fillers. In addition, Dr. Olsen is responsible for the development of our various Laser and Skin Rejuvenation procedures routinely preformed at the Reflections Medspa. Dr. Olsen is double board certified in Emergency and Hyperbaric Medicine. Besides his busy Medspa schedule, Dr. Olsen is also on staff at the Poudre Valley Hospital Wound Healing Center and until recently, at the North Colorado Medical Center Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine department. He formerly served as the Medical Director of the Wound Care & Hyperbaric Medicine services at the NCMC in Greeley, Colorado.

Dr. Olsen is married with four children and all of his available free time is spent with his family. He enjoys summer water sports, is an avid skier and enjoys both collegiate and professional sporting events.


ABOUT FACE - FACIAL PLASTIC SURGERY
Maria S. Chand, MD, FACS

Maria Chand, MD, received her undergraduate and medical degrees from the Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. She then went on to complete a general surgery internship and otolaryngology-head and neck surgery fellowship at the University of California, Irvine. Through a competitive process, Dr. Chand was selected for a fellowship in Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Illinois Chicago where she served as a clinical instructor. She then joined the faculty at Indiana University as an assistant professor for three years before relocating to Northern Colorado. Dr. Chand is dual board certified in Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery and Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery. She is a fellow in the American College of Surgeons, as well as a member of the Colorado Medical Society and Larimer County Medical Society. Her special interests include facial rejuvenation and facial reconstruction after skin cancer surgery.

Dr. Chand is highly committed to superior patient care through education and follow up - making each patient’s experience a pleasant one – from initial consult to the final result.

Registered Nurses

Kimberly K. Brunkhardt, R.N. – Clinical Director and Co-Owner
Kim has over 12 years of experience in the healthcare and medical industry and is one of the founding members of Reflections Medspa. As part of her role, Kim manages and mentors the nursing staff on all medspa procedures. Prior to founding Reflections Medspa, Kimberly was a senior staff member at Sona Medspa in Denver , Colorado where she performed laser and anti-aging procedures in a medical spa environment.

Prior to joining Sona, Kim was a member of the Nursing management staff at Harmony Ambulatory Surgery Center, where she was responsible for overseeing the flow of procedures that occurred in three different specialty areas, as well as a liaison for the staff and upper management. As part of her duties, Kimberly led the nursing team, mentored employees, worked closely with physicians on patient care, and implemented team building training programs and events.

She started her career in Nursing at Poudre Valley Health Systems and later moved to the Surgery Center of Fort Collins where she advanced her knowledge of acute patient care in a surgical environment. Kimberly is a graduate of Front Range Community College with her associates of applied science degree in Nursing.

Gina Runyan, R.N. – Registered Nurse

Gina received her nursing degree in San Antonio, Texas, in 1990. She went to work at the University of San Antonio Health Sciences Center in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit for six years. She dealt with trauma, neurosurgery, transplant, and open-heart patients. In 1996, prior to moving to Fort Collins, Gina accepted a position as Assistant Head Nurse of the Cardiac and Transplant Intensive Care Unit and Telemetry Step Down Unit.

Gina has a passion for aesthetic nursing.

Lana Dolan, R.N. – Registered Nurse

Lana has over 16 years of experience as a registered nurse. In addition to working at Reflections Medspa, Lana is currently employed part-time at the Orthopaedic Center of the Rockies and has been an employee there for 13 years. Lana works as a registered nurse in the surgery department , taking care of patients pre-operatively and post-operatively. She also is their acting Safety Coordinator for two clinics and 200+ employees. She oversees employee occupation safety and facility OSHA regulations, policies and procedures. She also organizes employee training and annual certifications.

Prior to OCR, Lana worked as a staff nurse at Poudre Valley Hospital on the Orthopedic/Neuro unit for three years. Lana is a Wyoming native and is a graduate of Casper College with her Associates of Applied Science Degree in Nursing.

Certified Massage Therapists

Tracy Nash, C.M.T. – Certified Massage Therapist
Tracy graduated in 2004 as a Registered Massage Therapist from Texas Institute of Natural Healing Sciences, as well as The Healing Arts Institute of Colorado in 2009. She is a member of the Associated Bodyworks & Massage Professionals. She specializes in Swedish, Hot Stone, Deep Tissue/Trigger Point and Neuromuscular, as well as pregnancy massage and infant massage. In the past, she has worked with several chiropractors treating and caring for clients of all ages, and is comfortable assisting them with many types of ailments. Tracy has been with Reflections Medspa since 2007 and has many satisfied clients.

Skin Care

Jana Gurkin - Skin Care Specialist

Jana studied at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado, and Middlesex University in London, England. She graduated in May of 2006 from CSU with a Bachelor's degree in Technical Journalism and a minor in Merchandising. She worked as a beauty advisor and skin specialist for Lancome cosmetics and fragrances after her graduation until September of 2007, when she joined Reflections as a skin care specialist and merchandising coordinator. She has a passion for skin care, and works to combine her public relations and marketing skills with promoting good skincare knowledge to the public.

Originally from Casper, Wyoming, she has lived in Fort Collins for six years.

Shanon Hatch, C.P.C.T - Certified Permanent Cosmetics Technician

Shanon is a certified SofTap® Permanent Cosmetic Technician who has worked since 2006 with hundreds of very satisfied clients. Her expertise is in Facial Cosmetics (eyeliner, eyebrows, & lip color). She also works in the fields of Advanced Paramedical Procedures including Areola Complex Restoration and Scar Camouflage. She enjoys working closely with breast cancer survivors to create a three-dimensional areola. Shanon received her certification and training at the National Permanent Cosmetic Training Center in Phoenix, Arizona.

Administration

Mike Brunkhardt – Business Manager and Co-Owner

Mike manages the day to day financial operations of the Medspa and has been instrumental to its success. He brings over 12 years of experience in public service and is currently a team leader for the City of Fort Collins. His community service extends to public office as well. He is currently a Town Board Trustee for the town of Eaton, Colorado, and sits on the Eaton Housing Authority Board of Directors. He is also Chairman for the City of Fort Collins Horticulture Committee.

Mike grew up in Morgan County and he attended Western State College and Morgan Community College where he received his Networking Associate Degree.
